Funding
Some full-time postgraduate students will have to pay all their own living expenses and class fees. Others may receive a bursary from the University, a statutory body (eg NRF, CSIR, WRC) or the research group, which will cover their living expenses and class fees. The number and value of bursaries available within each department depends on research funding received and varies from year to year. Students should indicate on their application form if they need financial assistance, and to what extent.
All research costs for full-time students will be paid by the relevant research group.
